INTRODUCTION

 

      1. PIOTR SKARGA ASSOCIATION FOR CHRISTIAN CULTURE with its registered office in Krakow at 28 Augustiańska Street, 31-064 Krakow (hereinafter referred to as the Association or the Administrator), fulfilling its obligations under the applicable legal provisions on the protection of personal data, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as GDPR), wishes to provide you with information regarding the processing and protection of your personal data.

       

      The information contained in this Privacy Policy will help you understand what personal data the Association collects and processes, the purpose for which it is used and your rights in relation to data protection.

       

      PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA IN THE ASSOCIATION

       

      The Association collects and processes personal data in connection with:

      1. maintaining regular contact with the Association in connection with the realisation of its statutory aims, in particular by providing information on organised social actions (campaigns, debates, seminars, scientific and press conferences), as well as on the possibilities of supporting the work of the Association,
      2. conducting social actions (collecting signatures for actions, protests, etc.),
      3. establishing contact through the contact forms available on the website,
      4. organisation of events, debates, seminars, conferences,
      5. providing access to publications of the Association,
      6. support of the Association's activities by donors,
      7. online recruitment for vacancies, internships or apprenticeships in the Association,
      8. access to the Association's web pages for users (use of cookies).

      CATEGORIES OF DATA PROCESSED BY THE ASSOCIATION

       

      The Association collects and processes personal data to the extent necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.

      Depending on the purpose and the legal basis for the processing of personal data, the Association may collect and process, inter alia, the following data:

       

      1. Identifying information, including but not limited to: name, surname, PESEL no., date of birth;
      2. Contact data, including but not limited to: address, telephone number, email address;
      3. Data collected and processed in connection with the statutory purposes of the Association, including, inter alia, data necessary for the organisation of public events, social actions, data on donors in connection with the support provided to the Association.

       

      PURPOSES, LEGAL BASIS AND PERIODS FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA IN THE ASSOCIATION

       

      1. If you receive invitations or information from the Association about the realisation of its statutory objectives, including social actions organised.

       

      This applies in particular to persons who have subscribed to the mailing list, persons who communicate with the Association via social networks (facebook, twitter, youtube), as well as persons whose data was obtained by the Association from publicly available sources.

YOUR RIGHTS IN RELATION TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA BY THE ASSOCIATION

 

In connection with the Association's processing of your personal data, you are entitled to:

  1. the right of access to your personal data under Article 15 of the GDPR;
  2. the right to have your personal data rectified under Article 16 of the GDPR;
  3. the right to request erasure in the cases set out in Article 17(1) of the GDPR(subject to the exceptions set out in the provision of Article 17(3) of the GDPR), in particular where you have exercised the following rights:
    1. the right to withdraw consent - where personal data is processed on the basis of consent, individuals have the right to withdraw their consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent given before withdrawal; however, please note that the Association does not process personal data on the basis of consent, as it usually acts on other legal bases, as further explained in point IV of this Policy;
    2. the right to object - in the event that your personal data is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest pursued by the Association (e.g. in the case of informing about the fulfilment of the Association's statutory objectives, sending invitations to public events organised by the Association, sending thank-you notes to donors for their support and sending the Association's publications); in such a case, the Association will no longer process your personal data or will restrict the processing unless it can demonstrate the existence of valid, legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject or grounds for the establishment, assertion and defence of the Association's claims
  4. the right to request the restriction of data processing in the cases set out in Article 18 of the GDPR;
  5. the right to data portability in the cases specified in the provisions of Article 20 of the GDPR.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Data Protection Office if you consider that the processing of your personal data violates data protection regulations.

 

TAKING AUTOMATED DECISIONS ON YOUR DATA (WITHOUT HUMAN INVOLVEMENT)

 

Your data may be processed by the Association by automated means, including profiling. However, decisions concerning an individual person related to this processing will not be automated.

 

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

 

The Association uses appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your personal data secure, including protecting your personal data from unauthorised access, loss or destruction. Appropriate personal, organisational, technical (IT) and physical safeguards have been implemented at the Association to ensure the security of your personal data.

 

We only transfer personal data to other parties if we are permitted to do so by law. In this case, we contractually provide for provisions and security mechanisms to protect the data and to maintain our data protection, confidentiality and security standards.

 

Your personal data may be accessed by:

  1. employees and associates of the Association who are authorised to process your personal data based on the instructions of the Administrator;
  2. entities entrusted by the Association with the processing of your personal data, including entities providing hosting, IT, printing, mailing, payment services to the Association,

The Association may transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area and international organisations, which is related to the scope of the Association's activities and the cooperation undertaken with various entities. The administrators ensure that data will be transferred to countries for which the European Commission has issued decisions on their compliance with an adequate level of personal data protection and/or in compliance with all legal requirements, including on the basis of an appropriate agreement containing data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission, ensuring an adequate level of protection for the personal data transferred.

 

AMENDMENTS TO THE PRESENT PRIVACY POLICY

 

Bearing in mind the principle of transparency, the Administrator will regularly review and update the above Privacy Policy by publishing a new version on this website.
